In case you missed it, Jose Bautista spanked three homeruns against the Twins today in a 11-3 blowout win for the Toronto Blue Jays. First of all, I DO NOT think Bautista used steroids. True, before last season his career high for homeruns in a season was sixteen. However, it is possible that he could have altered his swing with the Toronto hitting coach. Also, Bautista rarely hits opposite field homeruns. That's important in determining whether he used steroids or not, because you would expect someone who used steroids to spank homeruns all over the field. You also have to wonder, how much money did Bautista, only 30, leave on the table when he signed a 64 million dollad contract over the offseason. He could be the spark that this Toronto franchise could need to get out of the cellar of Major League Baseball and become a threat in the loaded American League East.
